About the School

Gribskov Upper Secondary School is situated in Helsinge in a scenic woodland area of Northern Sealand, and it is a mere 40 kilometres from Copenhagen. The school´s catchment area is Gribskov municipality, and Gribskov Upper Secondary School has approximately 575 students.

In 2004 Gribskov was selected for a substantial extension by the Local Authorities and the school is renowned for its modern science laboratories, its unique facilities for Arts and Music and its outstanding theatre premises. The school provides excellent study facilities for group and project work, and the study center employs a professional librarian.

The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities from sports to more academic activities. The teachers of social science organize meetings and debates with politicians, and national elections are of particular interest. In connection with the Presidential elections in the USA, the students followed the tv-transmitted results closely on the election night on a wide screen set up in the assembly hall.

Throughout the school year, the students participate in both national as well as international competitions of academic nature.
